Acting Chief Executive
Ru Collin – ru@commerce.org.nz

Ru has been the acting CEO of the Chamber since mid-September, and will continue to act until a permanent appointment is made. Ru’s background is in agribusiness, specialising in horticulture. Born and buttered in Hawke’s Bay, he has long had a connection to Nelson Tasman with horticulture operations in Motueka, and in Blenheim with involvement in the beginnings of a regional seasonal employment program. Ru is a member on several boards and a past general manager and managing director. Ru has also sat on the Chamber Board for the past three years, and is part of the joint steering committee overseeing the Nelson Tasman and Marlborough Chambers relationship.

 

Communications Manager
Megan Kitchener – megan@commerce.org.nz

Megan looks after the Chamber’s communications channels, including our weekly e-newsletter, Commerce Comment magazine, website and social media channels. She also works with Grant on advocacy issues as well as supporting the Marlborough Chamber of Commerce with their communications. Events Manager
Jane Crampton – jane@commerce.org.nz

Jane is responsible for managing all the Chamber’s events, including Business After Fives, luncheons, new member events and Chief Executive updates, and looks after the logistics for our annual Aspire conference and the Business Awards. Jane also manages the Chamber’s sponsorship agreements. If you’re interested in partnering with the Chamber, don’t hesitate to get in touch with Jane.

 

Business Development and Training Manager
Trina Zimmerman – trina@commerce.org.nz

After 11 years and multiple roles at the Chamber, Trina has moved into this role to bring Chamber members improved training and development opportunities. Trina is rolling out an exciting new Business Building Block series, with new streams and a variety of offerings. Many of these sessions will be mapped out so you’ll be able to plan your professional development in advance.

 

Business Advisor

Sandra joined the Chamber in January 2018 as our Business Advisor, responsible for issuing capability vouchers under the Regional Business Partnership Scheme. If you’d like some help with your business, or are looking to upskill, talk to Sandra about how you could access some funding to help with this. 

 

Business Support Co-ordinator

Carolyn is our wonderful first point of contact when you get in touch with the Chamber. Carolyn is the Chamber’s financial whizz and manages our accounts, and also looks after trade authentication certificates for businesses who export. Carolyn keeps the Chamber running smoothly and can answer anything you need to know about your membership.
