Ready to enter the Awards or nominate someone? This year we’ve made entering the Business Awards easy by accepting entries online. You can access your entry from work or home, plus you can save and return to your entry for up to 30 days.
You can still personalise your entry by uploading supporting business documents, photos, logos and videos.
We recommend you prepare your application offline, and then enter your content online once ready. Print off the downloadable form showing the full entry requirements and judging criteria for each category on the Awards Categories page to help you think about your entry.
The Chamber is hosting some ‘How to enter’ seminars in May to provide you with tips and advice on preparing your entry. The seminars will be held on Wednesday 16 May and again on Thursday 24 May. These seminars are free to attend, but please make sure you register.
Beginning your entry online
Go to the Entry Form page and complete your personal details. You will be asked to declare the details in your entry are true and correct.
You will then be asked to click on the category or categories you wish to enter. You will then see the entry criteria for that category displayed. Please make your way through the questions, completing all sections carefully and within the specified word limits. You will not be able to submit your entry if you go over the character count.
You do not have to use the total available word count. You may find you complete the sections well within the maximum available.
Please note the file size limits for supporting documents, images, videos and logos, and prepare your files at the correct size before uploading.
|Videos||90 seconds or less, max 20mb in either .mp4 or .wmv format|
|Images||Files must be high resolution in either .jpeg or.png. Minimum size of 1mb for images, max 2mb|
|Files/supporting documents||Must be in PDF format, max 2mb each|
Upload your supporting documents when you are ready to submit your entry, as when you save and continue the form will not save your uploaded files.
You can save your application as you go. Please select ‘Save and continue later’ at the bottom of the page. Once you have selected this option you will need to scroll down the page for your unique link to your application which you can return to.
You can either copy this link, or enter your email address so the link can be sent to you in an email. Please do not lose this link – to protect your privacy we cannot access saved entries – only those that have been submitted, so we are unable to send you another link. If you lose it you will need to re-enter your information.
PLEASE NOTE: your unique link to your application is only valid for 30 days. After this time you will not be able to access your entry which is why we recommend preparing your entry offline first, then entering it once complete.
Submitting your entry
Once you have completed all questions and are happy with your answers, and have uploaded all supporting files, images and videos, press ‘Submit’. Once you submit your application, please be patient as it may take a little time to upload any files.
You will receive a confirmation email once you have submitted your entry. If you do not receive this email please contact Jane at the Chamber at email@example.com.
Please note: All entries are confidential.
Nominating someone for Business Person or Young Business Person of the Year
Please go to ‘Nominate someone’ and enter your details, and tick the box to declare the information in your nomination is a true reflection of the nominee.
Please select the category you wish to nominate someone for, and you can nominate someone for both categories at the same time.
You will then be asked to complete the details of the person you are nominating, and you have up to 500 words to tell us why you feel this person deserves to win against the criteria.
Once you are finished please submit your nomination, or you can save and continue later but as above, please note your nomination link will only be valid for a maximum of 30 days.
Please visit our Frequently Asked Questions page.
