Lester is an online entrepreneur who is passionate about doing business from his hometown Nelson. He is the founder of Nelson based Mytax.co.nz, New Zealand’s largest tax agency which received the Chamber Large and Supreme Business Awards in 2016 along with several national accolades. He is also the founder and CEO of Powerdirect.co.nz, an expanding nationwide electricity retailer challenging the traditional model with a smarter, simpler approach. Lester is currently the Co-Chair of the Online Tax Association of New Zealand and on the board of the Entrepreneurs Organisation.
Alan is an experienced corporate leader. He was CEO and Chair of McDonald’s Restaurants New Zealand before moving to Chicago to become Vice President of Operations. He later became Regional Vice President in the Nordic region and Managing Director of McDonald’s Sweden.
Alan’s professional director career started in 2009 and he is currently on the boards of Z Energy, NZ Post and Burger Fuel. He also serves on the TDC Commercial sub-committee and NRDA Board as well as consulting to several small private companies.
Meg is a former World of WearableArt (WOW) CEO and Head of Marketing – Australasia, for Air New Zealand. She started her career at the national airline as an accountant in 1996 after beginning her trade with Deloitte. She is a qualified accountant with a diverse and impressive track record of experience across key business disciplines of finance, human resource management, strategic planning and marketing.
Meg has Ngai Tahu affiliation and is a Director of Cawthron Institute, Nelson Regional Development Agency, Mevo, Halberg Foundation and is a Future Director of Meridian Energy Ltd.
Jonny is a seasoned entrepreneur, with more than 20 years of experience within the ever-changing digital marketing scene. He has had a pioneering impact within the Japanese market, where he founded and listed ValueClick Japan on the Tokyo Stock Exchange with a monthly reach of 40 million users a day. That pioneering spirit was still alive and well when Jonny founded Shuttlerock in 2011. His company’s clients include well-known brands such as Jim Beam, Les Mills, Subway, Nestle, Cathy Pacific, Haagen Dazs and Gatorade.
Jonny is particularly interested in building internet technology that can assist companies and organisations to communicate their message to their customers which leads to increased revenues. Winner of the 2016 Facebook Innovation Spotlight Award, Jonny now lives in Mapua.
Euan McIntosh joined Forsyth Barr Nelson in 2006. Prior to this, Euan worked in various forest industry roles in New Zealand and Canada. Euan is an Authorised Financial Adviser (2011) and is accredited as an NZX Adviser. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science (1991) and a Bachelor of Forestry Science (1993) from University of Canterbury. He also holds the NZX Diploma.
Euan lives in Nelson with his family, and is involved in a number of community focused groups. When not working he can be found mucking around with his family on mountain bikes, windsurfers, and skis…and never enough in his wife’s garden!
