The Nelson Tasman Chamber of Commerce is delighted to announce that WaltersPR is now one of the Chamber’s luncheon sponsors for 2016.
“It’s fantastic to have WaltersPR support these luncheons, designed to ensure local business owners get to hear from and be inspired by national business leaders and stay informed about key business issues,” said Nelson Tasman Chamber of Commerce CEO Dot Kettle.
“Crowe Horwath stay on as the other Chamber luncheon sponsor after a very successful luncheon series last year. In 2015, the numbers attending the Crowe Horwath sponsored luncheons averaged 104, with speakers including Prime Minister Rt Hon John Key, Reserve Bank Governor Graeme Wheeler, and ASB CEO Barbara Chapman.”
“We look forward to working with WaltersPR and Crowe Horwath in our luncheon series this year. Luncheons will be of interest to anyone in business and details can be found on commerce.org.nz and by subscribing to our newsletter.”
WaltersPR Principal Jacquie Walters said that sponsoring the luncheons was indicative of her company’s strong support for local business and the Chamber itself. “We have had a productive and worthwhile connection with the Chamber since our business was established in 2012. We see it as an organisation that drives success in our region and we are delighted to do what we can to help bring engaging speakers to Nelson Tasman. Becoming a Chamber sponsor also makes sense for us because many of our clients, such as Pic’s Peanut Butter and Nelson Management Ltd (Nelson Forests), are members or sponsors of the Chamber in their own right.”
All chamber members who attend the WaltersPR Chamber Luncheon in association with Blueberry IT on April 7 will go into the draw to win a Gold Apple I-pad Air.

Unfortunately rain has forced us to postpone our BA5 event Natureland this evening. It will be held at the same time, same place next Tuesday (Feb 23). If you have already registered for tonight’s event, we will assume you are coming next week unless advised otherwise. We apologise for the short notice and any inconvenience this causes.
This Hyundai driven initiative is to get families, friends, everyone to power down for some time over the weekend of 19 & 20 March and interact with each other, spend some time enjoying one another’s company. Be it outdoors, playing a game of cricket, walking along the beach, ‘hiking’ up the center of NZ (we’re the only city that can do that in NZ!), or just spending time with your special people, relaxing.
Families can register, or you can nominate your favourite school. To really show ‘your true colours’, go down to the Hyundai showroom to receive a badge and get a photo done in front of the display. Or send in your own group photo of whatever you’re doing for power off. (eg. walking, playing cricket, beach etc.) Post a photo to Bowater Motor Groups face book page or tag them, to show involvement in the community. Once you register (make sure to use Bowater Hyundai’s code for Nelson) you’ll will be entered into the draw to win $100 fuel vouchers, or if you nominate a school in the Nelson district they are in the draw to win $500 worth of sports gear.

The Family Friendly Accreditation (FFA) devised a self assessment tool that organisations voluntarily undertake. If you score well, you are issued them with a window decal to display that you are Family Friendly.
So far our feedback has been that organisations are finding it a useful exercise to self reflect on how they could improve their facilities.
